Don’t take it personally
If
The ocean
Upsets you
It could be a frequency
Of sound
That strikes a chord
A memory
From
Childhood
A smell
But
It certainly isn’t the oceans fault
You’re hurt
It’s more like a mirror
You wont look into
An unwanted reminder
Of all that is human
Finite
It mocks you
Like a teenage girl
You’ll never belong
Of course
It’s wrong
You do belong
But
You’ll die
Long before the ocean does
And
The ocean doesn’t know you
