I was strolling through the aisles one day, in the very merry month of…November.

Lo and behold there was Supermarket Man.  I hadn’t seen him in quite some time so it was a bit shocking but alas, not as shocking as it once was.  The bloom is off the rose. My crush has faded, literally. The glow that used to emanate from him has vanished.  Oh he is still handsome but the thrill is gone.

As I made the risky maneuvers to get out of the parking lot, I began to think about crushes.  I think I’m repeating myself but there is nothing like a good old fashioned crush.  Especially when they go unrequited.  There is something far more magical because I never have to deal with the reality of that persons character, or lack there of.

I can roll around in the lush landscape of love, be a puppet master, paint the skies blue, I am creator, destroyer! Okay well not that extravagant but you get the point.  Sometimes a good crush just helps us through the day.

A crush can be an ideal, I can shoot for the stars and there is nothing wrong with it.

No harm done.

Maybe I need to shop more.
