I’m in
Zero gravity
Man!
Bouncing off walls
Or was it the
Floor?
No,
It was the ceiling
Which is now the floor.
Disoriented
In
A house of mirrors
It’s a nightmarish
Fun zone
But the fun
Wore
Off a long time ago
Now
Life
Is a bad acid trip
Scenes once beautiful
Turn dark and distorted
I grasp for a brass handle
To
A
Mahogany door
But the handle is a snake
The door
A trash shoot
You better be in the right bag
Cardboard, glass, metal
That’s all you are.
Recyclable baby!
And don’t you forget it.
I wake up in a gutter
Feeling liked a Tom Waits song.
A large bouncer
Beat me up
And
Threw me out of the disco
For showing new dance moves.
Eventually I will get up
But for now
I think I will just sit here
With the filth and grime
Of life
It’s pretty too
In its own way.
My head is pounding
But even I know
There is beauty in everything.
If
It’s
Real.
Wow…life as a Tom Wait’s song, I like, but am hoping it’s all conceptual, if not my heart goes out to you…been there…hugs to you whatever way the wind is blowing…
Mostly conceptual my friend…but I still have new dance moves.
Yep, the right kind of ugly truly is beautiful! Nice, gritty piece. Bluesy.
There is humor in there somewhere!
